Honolulu, the racing pulse of Hawaii; your escape from the world; a city where you relax, unwind and enjoy the tropical climate and vacation environment. It is the largest and a city of Hawaii with the highest tourism.

Once you land at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, also referred to as the Honolulu International Airport, Honolulu will give you a wonderful vacation.

However, first, you will have to get to your hotel. If you are staying at the Waikiki Hotels, the ways by which you can travel to the hotel are given below. So, let’s have a look at how you can travel to the Waikiki Hotels.

Traveling Via The Public Bus

Public bus service is available at the airport. Using the public bus can be very useful if you have only one bag since there is a restriction on the amount of luggage you can have on the bus.

Two bus lines routes lead to the Waikiki hotel: 19 and 20.  Both these buses drive from the second level roadway, which is conveniently near the center median of Honolulu International Airport.

Bus 19 follows an eastbound route, as well as a westbound one. The Eastbound route leads from the airport straight to Waikiki, while traveling west it goes from the airport to Hickam Airforce Base. Therefore, you need to take the eastbound line.

Bus 20 also is similar, since its Eastbound travels to Waikiki, while the West goes elsewhere.

Using the Honolulu Airport Shuttle Bus Service

An affordable shuttle service is also available to drop you at your hotel. These generally have to be reserved before arrival but are often also available at Honolulu Arrivals. The two best services you need to consider for this are Robert Hawaii Airport Shuttle and Speedi Shuttle.

Use a Taxi

Good news for you, a taxi cab service is available at the Honolulu Arrivals center median, which is near the baggage collection area, thus saving you the effort of walking. Generally, the cost is between $40 and $60 excluding a 50 cents charge per luggage piece. The exact cost depends on the distance till your airport of course.

Renting a Car

If you are willing to go for a more expensive option, you can rent a car from one of the six companies available at the airport. Once again, this is near the baggage claim area thus saving you the walking.

Direct Airport to Hotel Drop off Service

This option may end up costing you more than most of the above options but is likely to be the safest and most convenient option. This service can incorporate a shuttle, a van or a limousine. However, details regarding this need to be confirmed with your hotel.
